Beijing also launched the “Beijing Primary Medical and Health Service Capacity Improvement Work Plan Equipment Centralized Volume Procurement” in 2023, with a total budget of 380 million yuan to centrally purchase 2,686 medical devices. The final total winning bid transaction amount was only 71.3 million yuan, and the price reduction reached 81.35% compared with the budget amount.
Among them, the prices of some categories dropped directly from tens of thousands of yuan to thousands of yuan, and from millions of yuan to 100,000 yuan, with the highest reduction of more than 95%, which shows the power of price reduction in volume-based centralized procurement.
